Job Title: NARY Assistant Fashion Designer & Retail Store Associate

Position Overview:

At NARY, a small fashion brand located in NYC and Phnom Penh, we are seeking an exceptional candidate to take on a multifaceted role that combines store management and retail operations with the creative aspects of apparel design. The role will involve overseeing the day-to-day operations of our retail store in Phnom Penh with a strong focus on sales, inventory management, and fabric coordination. Additionally, the candidate will collaborate with the founder to conceptualize, create, and develop new designs for women's resort wear and apparel, ensuring they align with NARY's brand aesthetic and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

-Store Management and Sales

The candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the store's operations, including driving sales to local residents and tourists, monitoring sales performance, submitting for taxes and sales reports, and delivering exceptional customer service. They will also maintain a clean, safe, and aesthetically appealing store environment to provide an outstanding shopping experience.

-Managing Samples & Inventory Management

The candidate will coordinate with the team to handle sample deliveries from sewing centers, manage sample garments for display and sales, and oversee inventory management processes, including receiving, stocking, and reconciliation for the Phnom Penh store and global wholesale accounts.

-Shipping Coordination with DHL

They will prepare and package wholesale orders, coordinate shipping logistics with DHL, and stay updated on shipping regulations and best practices to optimize shipping processes. Additionally, they will handle customer inquiries related to shipping and resolve any issues or delays with shipments.

-Design Collaboration and Implementation

Working closely with the founder, the candidate will collaborate to conceptualize and create new designs for women's resort wear and apparel, participate in fittings to provide feedback, contribute to photo shoots and social media content, and ensure designs align with NARY's brand aesthetic and quality standards.

-Administrative Tasks and Team Leadership

The candidate should possess the ability for independent online work and management and feel comfortable opening up our retail store alone. Tasks also include cash and credit card handling, sales reconciliation, preparing tax and sales reports, and other administrative responsibilities. 

-Qualifications & Benefits

The ideal candidate will possess previous experience or internships in retail management, customer service and communications in English, design work, and more importantly a confident mindset for achieving tasks and sales targets.

Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite and CAD programs are ideal but not necessary. Bonus if applicant is familiar with tech platforms like Google Suite, telegram, ASANA, Shopify, and Pinterest. Advanced English to fluent communication skills is ideal but not necessary.

Hours & Duration:

The job role will encompass shop hours: 

• Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, from 9 AM - 5 PM. 
• Saturday and Sunday, from 11-7 PM. 
• Tuesdays are closed.

NARY is open to candidates committing to 3-6 months, with the possibility of a longer employment duration based on performance.
